You see why the board is bad. Because of you and your immature comments.

You are married and have kids, but you act like a 15 year old on here.

Grow up and have a pair and quit with the childish comments.

Being a prick does not enlighten you, it makes you utterly pathetic.

Fried tops at more than that.

He tops at 94, OK. But I'm talking about what he sits at, and today, with the launch angle changes, it's not flying at all and as far as I care, he's a bust.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Yes. Fried averages 93-94. I've seen him hit 96. Fried needs a lot of polish but he's got more potential than some give him credit for.

Fangraphs has his FB average velocity at 92.9 last year and 93.6 this year.

That amount of 'hate' towards fried is confusing. His 2017 year was all about blisters. Kid needs to get into rotation. He'd be an upgrade over 3/5ths that are currently in there

I don't hate him, I just don't think he's ready. He needs to develop a good two-seamer to get to the next level. His control needs a little work too. He leaves too many balls in the middle of the plate.

He's certainly not a finished product but development doesn't stop at the minor leagues. We are at the time when he needs to get 20 starts to see what he is.

I disagree. More time in AAA will do him more good(and us) than learning up here.

There is no debate. Fried will emerge as a TOR pitcher this season.

I'm not sure you've watched Fried at all.

Right now, Folty is undoubtably the better pitcher IMO.

    That doesn't work around here.

According to Joe Folty has 2 wins while Newk has 1. So Folty is clearly twice the pitcher.

I literally LOL every time they talk about a pitcher thriving or struggling and directly cite W/Ls as the reason why. It is hilarious.

    After 6 starts...

    Folty...
    10.97 k9 4.22 bb9 2.53 era 3.84 FIP 0.4fWAR .270 babip 32 ip

    Newcomb...
    10.90 k9 3.89 bb9 3.38 era 3.16 FIP
    0.7 fWAR .306 babip 34.2 ip

Worth noting that both were outstanding this last start. If these numbers continue, we could have a really nice staff with the addition of Soroka.

Folty has an encouraging out last time out. I'd like to see him real in his wildness some more and then look out.
