Eh....while I know you're essentially talking down to me in this post I'll still play along.

Couple that with what appears to be a well commanded fastball at 94-97 and the potential to be a starting pitcher is strong.

actually no...but I think you should file away that curve for future reference...i thought he showed a nice change too...he was a very highly rated prospect before TJS

Remember how long Snit sat Biddle before giving him a game? That cost us a game in the standings as we ended up overusing others. Biddle showed today why I took issue with that. He isn't a pitcher you need to hide in the pen. He's a lefty that is quite good vs righties.

Right. Obviously I don’t think he is anything other than a bench bat or occasional DH.

Yeah he's regressed back to what he is. Time to go w/Camargo full time until Bats gets going in AAA (if he even does)

Gonna be a fun year with this team. I wonder how they'll react if they find themselves in fist place.

I hope we resist the temptation to add a starting pitcher. If a high leverage arm like Brad hand becomes available then I'm down. Otherwise, trust the ptocess.

This is definitely a fun team, and the first team in a long time I want to watch more than I get a chance to.

The 16-11 April is the first month at 5 games or more over .500 since Sept. of 2016, and only the second one since April of 2014.

We were 16-11 in April while only playing 2 teams (Nats and reds) with losing record. Oh, and Nats are the east favorites. Only 5 of those 27 were with acuna. Our catchers have missed multiple games. If the pitching holds up, we could really hang around a while

I think there is something to be said here. We played good team despite their records. We played these teams without big pieces of our puzzle. We had some fluky losses to boot. It is very easy to see better months up coming. I would need to look at schedule. But there is going to be a month in there were we play the fish and other bottom dwellers. Hopefully we don’t play down to those teams and hopefully we can stay healthy. Flowers is going to do wonders for our staff.

otoh everyone in the lineup except for Inciarte is off to a good start...i think we played a bit over our head in April...but I saw enough good things to think we have a decent chance of playing meaningful baseball in September

Braves were "supposed" to hang around .500 depending on youth development. If Acuna, Swanson, and Albies all play like the A to A+ level prospects they were. Then we're set on the offensive side of the ball coupling those 3 with Freeman. Doesn't matter about pretty much any of the rest of it as long as it's averagish.

Pitching I think is performing over it's head. Our ERA-FIP is one of the best in baseball, and usually that's a sign of one of 2 things that could happen. First is our FIP improves, YAY. But more likely our ERA rises. I hope we improve there. But I think some regression will set in.

Okay, new twitter argument that I want to discuss here. Given Suzuki and Flower's production over the last year+, if we had an opportunity to trade for JT Realmuto right now should we do it? Especially seeing that our window to compete looks like it might open a year early? I'm of the mind that it would probably be a poor allocation of resources to trade for Realmuto since Suzuki and Flowers have been so unexpectedly good. I think we should save our resources to potentially trade for bullpen pieces or 3rd base.

The specific trade that I mentioned in the discussion was Soroka, Pache, and Wilson for Realmuto. I said I would turn it down, he said he would accept it in a heartbeat. What say you Chopcountry.

No way in hell I make that trade. Soroka is way to valuable.
