There is basically no reason to look at Gwinnett's box score if allard isn't pitching.

Wilson is gonna be in AAA and possibly the majors by the end of the year. He's the next Soroka.

Not sure about him being in the majors that quick, but you could very well be right. He’s a stud.

Wonder who takes Wilson’s spot in the Florida rotation. Would seem like Bruce Zimmermann is the logical choice. He’s listed to start tomorrow in Rome, so we should know soon.

Riley May be at the point where it will take MLB fastballs to exploit the length of his swing if it’s going to be an issue. AAA pitchers probably won’t test him much since the pure stuff in AA is likely better than AAA.

I agree...AA tends to be where the pure velocity is and he's mashed in that league (another A+-AA promotion I got wrong last year)...he'd probably fair well in AAA at this point since that's where a lot of junkballers are. If his bat speed actually is a problem, with the way things have gone, it appears it's not going to become one in AA.

Not on this topic but shoot, if Bryse performs well in AA, you can throw him in the 5th starter mix for spring next year too. That's why while I'm not dismissing the fact that Fried COULD become a starter, it's going to be tough at this point.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Older, college-pick player excelling against younger competition: he merits somewhat aggressive promotion, through at least AA, if he handles a league like he has Low-A.
