What would we have to give up for Stroman. Allard, Wentz and Demeritte ? Too light?

AA is just sitting back in the weeds. He’ll get a few guys on the cheap. I’d be all over Herrera if they’d trade him to us.

Before this down year, he was over 3.0 fWAR in his 3 previous years that he wasn't injured. He pitched 200 innings the last 2 years. I would think he'd be pretty expensive

What do you guys think the chances are that AA may wait until after the deadline to make some of these moves through waivers? Guy on Trade Rumors said that is a real possibility for us. I hadn't considered that before.

Because asking prices will be even lower on guys no one wanted after the deadline...clever.

The same person who suggested this also suggested the Braves should "just trade Teheran to the Brewers for an OFer" a day or so ago.

I'm not naming names, but that person is incredibly dumb.

August trades are typically done with guys who are either injured at the July deadline, and/or are so expensive they pass through waivers.

A guy like Donaldson is a prime August trade candidate once (if?) he proves to be healthy.

Poor Billy McKinney will drop 50 spots in the rankings with his move from NY Yankees to Toronto.

I don't think Billy Mckinney has been a top 100 prospect since like 2015 lol

I am in no way interested in Marcus Stroman...his pitching style is too close to Teheran and Sanchez.

I think Stroman would probably cost one of Gohara/Allard/Fried, one of Wentz/Wilson, and two or three guys that are among our top 15-40ish like JCE, Tarnok, I. Wilson, Ynoa, Davidson, etc.... That would be my guess. But if they were looking for quality over quantity it would probably cost us one of Wright/Touki/Soroka and one of Gohara/Allard/Fried plus maybe a throw in. Just a rough estimate

Steve Phillips said that the Hamels-Cubs deal isn't as done as some thought. The Braves are still up there for his services.

I would take Fried over Hamels as my 5th starter the rest of the way in.

Highly doubtful it cost that much.
