I think its pretty clear right now that we need help in the lefty reliever department. Biddle and Freeman have reverse splits and Minter is a late inning high leverage guy. Adding Britton would at least allow us to use either him or Minter more liberally in lefty heavy situations.

Britton hasn't been better vs LH for a few years but I'd have no issues trading for him. It'd probably be like Rio Ruiz/Jeremy Walker, and I think that's fairly similar to Familia. Maybe not even Walker like.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.
I'd part with Rio Ruiz for a tastey sandwich
"The market for Zach Britton includes virtually every top contender."
@Ken_Rosenthal on the Orioles' reliever
......
If the Braves end up in a bidding war over Britton, lol.
But let’s be real, they wouldn’t be dumb enough to totally miss the cheap reliever market and o repay for Britton. Right?
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
Yeah obviously I don't want Britton if he is going to come at a significant markup. But given how saturated the reliever market currently is, I don't see the price going up that much. I kinda like your idea of going after Duke/Escobar with the Twins. I'd also like to see us make a run at Keone Kela if the price was right. He is young, cheap, reliable, and controlled through 2020. Price tag for him may be a tad higher though.
I doubt it costs that much. I'm with nsacpi that Britton isn't going to cost much more than Familia. I think a package of Wisler and Ynoa would get it done without Jackson or the something else part. Maybe the bidding war marks it up a little, but I don't think we will be giving away a top prospect like Fried.
I'm really fascinated by the idea of trading for a package in any deal we do. How would you guys feel about trying to get Britton and either Brach or Givens? If not them, what about a deal with the Rangers for Claudio and Kela? How much would those deals cost us and would it be worth the price tag?
Wisler and ynoa should be done ASAP if that will get Britton. I like ynoa too, but Britton could really improve the braves
I like a deal with the Twins involving Rodney too. We really need 2 bullpen arms.
