Yankees/Red Sox playing in London in 2019

I think this is fantastic news if we want to continue growing this fantastic sport.

London will have an NFL team soon (Jaguars) and it's an enormous, rich, and diverse market.

I think an MLB team could work there in the future. Who knows? Maybe soon if the Athletics or Rays can't get stadiums. Or they may be 1 of the 2 expansion teams Manfred wants.

    Exciting times.

I look forward to one day watching a World Series between New York and Tokyo or Boston and London.

I can't wait to watch Buck Bokai become the next Babe Ruth for the London Kings. Just wish Captain Sisko could have been there to see it in person.

It'd be really hard to have a London team in the Majors. Travel times and all. Not so hard in football since you only play once a week.

Yeah the travel time just doesn't make much sense for London. Mexico City and Montreal are the likely destinations for expansion/relocation.

Mexico City could support a Major League team but the elevation of the city is 2000' higher than even Colorado. I just don't like the type of baseball that high elevation brings. I'm glad we only play one series a year at Colorado.

Yeah no way an MLB team could be based in Europe due to time differences. And the Jags aren’t moving to London. They’re still just doing the few NFL games a year over there. It’s a rumor that the Jags will be the team to relocate.

I’ve always said London is the Jacksonville of Western Europe.

I can't imagine why they'd move the Jags to London. And no way do they make an MLB team there.

It will be an AL team and fit right in with the Rangers and Astros parks which generally inflate offense.

Jags are moving to London. Shahid Khan isn't buying Wembley for ****s and giggles.

He already owns Fulham FC. It isn't like he has no ties to English sports. It's likely unrelated.

Exactly. And him buying Wembley isn’t a done deal. There is a lot of backlash to that deal and it may not even be allowed to go through.
