Once again Chris Archer has an ERA well over five. I just don’t understand why he is so sought after. Folty for example...almost two full runs better per nine innings....so is Julio.

He has a 3.63 FIP and he strikes out a lot of guys. He's giving up a career low in walks and hitters have a high BABIP against him.

I’ll never understand why the HP ump doesn’t always check with the base umpire on check swings. It makes no sense that hitters can’t appeal on a check swing too.
