Yeah, I don't necessarily agree it's all due to the park, but it does look like he's roughly the same player he was last year and should be fine.

So does that make Riley even better since he did what he did there?

The other part with jackson is he’s rule 5 eligible this offseason if we don’t protect him.

Can't imagine a scenario where A-Jax isn't protected at this point - the numbers don't look great (although they're not quite so bad when you take into account he's in Trustmark), but they're likely much more concerned about what types of defensive strides he's making. You've still got the option of moving him back out from behind the plate and just let him hit.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Nah, just think he's overrated. Probably has a realistic ceiling of a number 3 starter.

I don’t understand how you’ve formed the opinion.

He’s a low minors prospect who is throwing 95-96 with great K numbers and too many walks. What’s to overrate?

Just being facetious, referencing the many instances that someone has said, “he’s a good prospect, but he’s going to have to improve his control / bb numbers,” and someone else has speciously said, “I just don’t get the absolute hate for Anderson.”

People talk about him as a future TOR candidate. I don't see it. He tops out at 96 but reports I've read have him sitting more 92-93. Poor control.

He's Matt Wisler with a chance at 3 pitches.

There are many who don't "like" Anderson because the preference was Lewis and all the pitching that was drafted was counter to the approach fans wanted to take.

In some respects it has to go back to disagreement over how the Braves approached that draft.

I don't even see a lot of hype here for Anderson on a day to day basis. He's pretty overlooked and covered with a tinge of disappointment, which I don't quite understand. Sort of like Kyle Wright.

I think those are two really good prospects, but ones who aren't necessarily close. They don't need to be.

Same deal with newcomb. He isn't liked by many bc of the huge price we paid to get him. Not fair to newcomb imo

I wish more people had a chance to see a player in person than just look at a stat line and proclaim a prospect as good or bad. Anderson DOES have control issues. He’s an over-the-top delivery type of pitcher and that’s not always repeatable. I would suggest he pitch at 3/4 angle but that’s me.

He becomes hittable when he can’t repeat his delivery and tries to groove a strike. He has to grow. I didn’t see a TOR but I saw at least a 3 which could be more if he harnesses his stuff. And I think he’ll be able to sit at 92-94 with more strength.

It’s anyones guess as to how he turns out. I’ve been encouraged and disappointed.

Exactly. Just like the 'pozis' get accused of pushing to be right the same can be said on the other side. Hopefully now that the team is good again we can move past all of this and just enjoy the hell out of a great baseball team.

When you say he has some control issues is that with all his pitches? Certain parts of the plate?
