Paul gave Newk the opportunity to praise the coaching staff(Hernandez) and he passed. Said that repition has made the difference and comments from other pitchers.

The good is that we do a great job, especially Acuna and Albies, at drawing 3-2 counts. The bad thing is that it rarely results in anything. No walks or hits. Progress.

No Joe, it was not the first change up he's thrown. He threw 2 back to back to Realmuto in the first inning. Please pay attention to your job.

Newcomb looks fantastic these past 3 starts.
That changeup has made Newcomb a different pitcher.

The development in newks change has been great. Always had the movement but you guessed it he can know command the pitch.
3 plus pitcher now
Newcomb now has 3 plus pitches. That changeup is filthy.
That change moves, only about 4-5 MPH less than his fastball.

Chip needs to get his stats correct. He has now, twice, mentioned that Urena threw 37 pitches in the 1st inning. He only threw 29.
No way. Change usually sits around 87-88 and his fastball is typically 93-94. He does a very good job of keeping it low in the zone though.
