What’s happening is these scrubs ass pitchers have been able to pitch to the strategy to shut the over aggressive offense down. It’s unfortuante...when his offense goes cold...it gets frost bitten.
The ump is giving Chen things a foot off the plate and Chen has realized it. He's throwing everything off the plate, hitters are taking obvious balls for strikes, and then they're chasing pitches off the plate that they have to swing at.
This is as bad a strikezone as we've seen this year. This umpire seriously should never call another game.
