So you think a guy striking out 10+ per 9 has an out pitch do you?

I’d take a few multi-walk games, and even a few more with deep PA, even if they end in outs.

For as well as Albies has done, because he walks so little he's one of the top in outs made in the NL.

(and then I say that and he's still doing better than Odor did in his best season, which is honestly incredible)
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Makes sense to ask the league leader in home runs, doubles, and multi hit games to change his approach.

Sooo many cheap hits. Feeling like the Giants series all over again.

Albies is easily my most frustrating player to watch.

You know how good he is but he gives do many at bats away from lack of patience

I'm concerned about albies approach as well as mlb pitchers continuing to throw high heat

Well, also because he hits at the top of the order for the best offense in the NL. He's bound to make a bunch of outs since the lineup keeps turning over.

I keep thinking that the act is up from him unless he changes what he's doing, and then he starts doing it again. Maybe this won't be the 3rd time that is like this though because he had an 0 fer game vs Miami and came back with 3 hits over the next 2 games.

I love the dude; but he’s young and by no means perfect. I’m scared about what will happen to his value at the plate when his luck on flyballs inevitably regresses—and at the very least, I’d like to see a little more plate-discipline.

I just don’t think he’s a lead off hitter. He’d be more valuable in a run-producing spot IMO.

    This.

If he’s 25 and still this player, I’ll embrace it, Andruw-style. But he’s 21 and I haven’t given up on growth in his game.

I'm sure when that happens he'll adjust. He's clearly a talented hitter. But while it's working, why not keep doing what he's been doing?

We are getting absolutely owned by Pivetta. This has been one of the games where our aggressive approach has hurt us.

Too bad one cheap home run didn't deserve another.
