Time for Tucker Davidson to get the ship righted and back on track!

That's about as impressive a line up of arms as we will likely have this spring going at one time, save for Wright and Harrington.

Uh oh, Michael Mader promoted to Triple A and now starting in place of Allard.

Dustin Peterson also activated from the DL.

This is a completely insane statement, but just passing it along -- An American League scout recently said, "[Riley] might be the best third-base prospect I've seen in more than 20 years."

I wonder if Allard is getting promoted. I think the Braves were going to put Gohara on the bereavement list so he could go visit his ailing mother.

That's interesting. Plus we have a double header coming up on Monday, and Snitker said yesterday there was no decision on who would pair with McCarthy to start the two games.

I really hope this is the case. I would love to see the statcast data on Allard's pitches so we can settle the "poor stuff" debate once and for all.

If allard is being promoted, please let it be Monday vs Mets. Certainly don't want him facing Red Sox in debut

If we are indeed gonna call allard up for Monday, wouldn't an inning or 2 today have been a good idea?

It could be an extra day of rest given his collision with Riley, but on the other hand since Sanchez got shelled on rehab the Braves could've scratched Allard to keep him ready to possibly start one of the DH games.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Snitker said yesterday that Sanchez will rehab on Friday in Gwinnett, so if Allard is getting just a few extra days, it'll be Saturday at the earliest he pitches. That Friday date also means Sanchez isn't starting one of those Monday games.

    Interesting.

I suppose we should keep track and see if Allard starts Saturday then. If he doesn't start Saturday I think he's starting Monday in Atlanta.

But yeah, if he's starting Monday it'd make sense to have him pitch a little today to keep him sharp.

The best third base prospect in the last 20 years went 0-3 with 3 Ks and 2 BBs.

I don't think Allard is ready to be promoted yet. His K/9 is 6.61 at AAA. He's going to be killed at the MLB level.
