Honestly, if Ronald and Swanson are back offensively that's bigger than winning one game here, as if others don't start slumping that might help the offense return.

Still might shuffle the lineup though.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Acuna and Swanson were not as bad as people were saying yesterday and nothing they did today should carry much weight in how they or the team are assessed in terms of what they are going to do the rest of this season.

I still think we can contend for a WC spot, but Nats are probably gonna run away with the division eventually once they get healthy.

Too good of a team not to happen.

To be fair a 40.4% K, although in small sampling, needs to be noted.

I hate ridiculous walls and weird angles. It takes away from what players are actually doing and makes it more about where you happen to get lucky enough to have the ball go.

Fenway looks like a third grader was given a homework project of designing a stadium, forgot to do it, and tried to draw it out while on the bus.

we have hit our first real team slump of the year but I still like our chances. We have the depth for a long season.

Different strokes. I really like all those things you list as negatives. But I’m all about the

    Acuna's K rate coming into today's game was 29%.

Bad news for the next few years is Mets, nats, and Phillies all have a legit TOR guy. Nola is a beast. We don't have that guy

And wait, New York is just pitching their rotation with the DH? Hmmm. Braves have been able to get to Thor though.

    Props Acuna.
Lol, clearly with a 10.0 k/9 Folty his secondary pitches arent good

And he also has a BB/9 of 4.4.

And this is actually backed up by stats. He has problems getting hitters to chase, he's almost getting Ks by accident.

Look, maybe he pulls a surprise like he's been bound to do sometimes and hurls 8 shutout innings tomorrow with 11 strikeouts but it's more likely he gets shelled than that.

Getting K's by accident now... Wow.

Walks aren't indication of poor secondary pitches.

I still think Folty and Newk could become that, particularly Newk, but we need to make a move for a TOR pitcher. We’re a solid team, but we’re just screwing ourselves if we think we are there now. We need a TOR arm, big bat and some bullpen help. Still, we’re a good team
