I expected to see that Wright was shelled after I saw the earlier comment.

But he really wasn't. Don't think he's turned a corner yet though. One more at least decent outing and I think the steps toward the corner will have been made.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Agreed. Not every prospect moves like Acuna either

His first 2-3 innings were bad and he got hit around. Not really a start to be very excited about.

It wasn't a dominant start to get excited about but it was a start where he did what you want him to do. He struck out batters at a good rate, limited his walks, and didn't give up a HR. That's what I'm looking for with Wright. If he does that then the results will follow.

yeah, 7 hits with none of them being homers and striking out 1 per 9 sounds good to me.

The GB rate Wright is generating is being overlooked. If you are going to strike out a batter an inning and give up 50% + GBs you are going to be a valuable major leaguer.

Still not as good a prospect as Randy Ventura.
