To look at the list after all the guys we’ve graduated is just unfair. We are still loaded.

Wow. We don't really know what we have in Stewart yet, but to have him drafted No. 8 overall, and possibly be a top-5 draft talent, and he not be a top 2 or 3 guy on many of our lists tells you how deep and talented this system is.

Going to revise the long-neglected top 30 after the draft, but I wonder how seriously we need to consider Zimmermann?

Some dropping for me so far this season: Jackson, Peterson, Cruz, Demeritte, Wilson, Davidson, Cumberland, Sanchez, Burrows, Lugbauer, Graham.

I'm not considering Fried, Sims or Gohara prospects anymore since they have somewhat graduated to the ML (probably should take Soroka off as well).

Have you all seen Stewart's curveball?

I really like his body and mechanics. I could see him adding another click or two on the FB.

Zito, what do you think of his mechanics? He definitely avoids the dreaded inverted W.

You and Fat Ben should get together and start a video based scouting service lol

Yes his curve is sicknasty. Depending on how everything progresses it could be a devastating out pitch.

He could be a 2-3 if his velocity stays consistent with JUST his curveball and fastball. If he can develop his changeup, dude is likely our best pitcher.

And honestly, knocking a guy's changeup out of high school is in some ways picking nits. This kid hasn't needed one yet. no reason to expect that he can't develop an average one. Some reason to think he might have an easier time finding a good one.

Not listing anyone currently in the majors

    1. CF Cristian Pache - I see him as a better version of Ender. Elite defense makes at a key position means he only needs average offense to be a very good player. Added enough power this year to take his prospect status to the next level.

    2. RHP Ian Anderson - Consistently high K rate and low hit rate is a great combination. Walks are the area I expect to see the most improvement over time from a pitcher. Could be really dominant if he cuts down on them. My main concern with him is health.

    3. RHP Touki Toussaint - I love high upside pitchers and Touki seems to have taken a big step forward in his development. Like him for same reasons I like Anderson. With the stuff they have only health will keep them from contributing in some fashion.

    4. LHP Kolby Allard - checks all the boxes I look for except FB velocity and k rate. Its a gigantic warning sign. I hear legend of a hall of famer soft tossing left that once pitched for the Mets. Not a good comp, but hard to argue with elite results at AAA before he can legally buy alcohol. Feel a lot better about his future health projection after 150 innings last year and a great start to this year.

    5. RHP Bryce Wilson - ERA at AA seems very fluky. From what I hear he has good stuff and good results so far minus a few AA starts. Age relative to league and health has been good so far. Never know which pitching prospect is going to blossom.

    6. 3B Austin Riley - Good profile to be a quality 3B in my opinion. Not expecting star quality but average defense and hitting for power will go a long way.

    7. RHP Kyle Wright - Never been a big fan. I think his stock will never be higher than the moment he was drafted. Might make a good reliever some day. This ranking is based off trade value, respect for others opinions, and just simply hoping I am wrong.

    8. OF Drew Waters - Stock rapidly rising in my eyes

    9. RHP Carter Stewart - I am going to wait until I have some real milb stats to overreact to. Love me some high upside pitching.

    10. LHP Joey Wentz - I really liked him as a prospect but health was a big concern and he is currently injured. Stock freefalling to me.
