I definitely agree with your original point though. The fact that we're finding ways to win even with the offensive slump is encouraging. Speaks to how well we hope to be playing once we bust out of it. Hopefully the pitching continues to hold up.

We couldn't hit their bullpen with an LSU aluminum bat from the 90s

I came into the season most worried about our staff but I’m really confident every time Newk, Folty and Soroka come out to pitch. I don’t see that changing much, honestly.

We need someone to take the reins at the top of this order....Swanson, Albies, and undoubtedly Ender are incapable

Since May 1st, 11th in mlb in runs, and maybe middle pack for rest, which is closer to where they should be than the top 5 start.

Maybe Acuna will come back crushing.

And yes, we are absolutely awful in bullpen games.

The Padres will have many bidders for their arms during the deadline.

It’s ideal and I’d be reluctant to move him, but who else do we trust in the lead off spot not named Markakis?

I dunno if you can find stats on this, but I'd be curious to see if our walk rate has diminished as well. Seemed early when we were going well, we were drawing walks and working counts. Lately it seems we've been swinging at alot of first pitches and being overly aggressive, to mixed results.

Camargo may not be a starter, but he's gonna be one hell of a utility
