Stoked for this game - getting ready to head to the stadium in a few minutes. Dragging my 7-week old son with me (in his Braves onesie of course). We'll see how long he lasts - wish me luck

So glad Albies got a day off with two more coming this week. Smart move.
expecting a yuge game from Suzuki
"I am a victim, I will tell you. I am a victim."
"I am your retribution."
I come in peace with a piece of great news:

Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

The starting rotation being 10th in baseball in FIP is truly astounding given the expectations I had coming into this season. There wasn’t a single pitcher in our rotation I would have felt comfortable betting on having a 2 WAR season.
The next step is determining how to best trim the deadweight. McCarthy to the bullpen is easy enough, but what to do about Julion. Pretty amazing how quickly his contract went from bargain to rotten.

I just posted about moving McCarthy to the pen and then read this thread lol. Very glad.
Someone will take Julio. We won’t get anything, but the way people look for starting pitching...someone will take a chance. Well...as long as he doesn’t come back throwing 87 mph heaters.
Leo aside, I wouldn’t go out of my way to talk to those other three if they knocked on my front door to give me money. It’s #Braves Alumni Sunday! Welcome back Leo Mazzone, Johnny Estrada, Russ Ortiz and Cristhian Martinez!

Five Thirty Eight now has the Braves with a 59% chance to make the playoffs and 36% to win the division. They currently have the Nats ending with 90 wins and the Braves with 89. Getting close to where their projection system will have the Braves winning the division. It was a good weekend.
