Parsons up, Wisler down - Gosselin outrighted to AAA

Parsons has had a nice season. Being brought up for BP role after Wisler went 2+ last night.

Looks like Wisler is just innings fodder for when the BP is running thin.

Parsons is an undrafted free agent from the Golden Wren Era. He was actually a very good prospect until he hurt his arm in 2015. Maybe he can be another Biddle. A guy who for a while looked like he could be a major league starting pitcher, who came back after injury to be a reliever in the majors. A couple differences though. Parsons continued to pitch as a starter after his injury. And he is a right-handed pitcher. And he tends to have conventional splits. But as you would expect of someone who has mainly been a starting pitcher he can get lefties out.

I had a good feeling about Biddle when he was called up (based upon recent minor league performance). I have a similar feeling about Parsons. Our scouts and development people have done well in sticking with Biddle and Parsons through injuries and the extended period of coming back from those injuries.

Is it wrong that I read your post in Morgan Freeman narration.

    James Earl Jones is better.

I associate Freeman with lemurs. Nothing wrong with that of course. I do have some Malgache ancestry.

AA saying they want to give him 30 days off and then a 30 day stint to ramp back up in the minors. Says that's been the plan since he went on the DL the second time. They want to make sure this time the shoulder has had enough time to fully recover.

This leaves us in a situation where Allard could be a key part of the rotation if any of the current 5 get hurt or falter. There are other options like Fried and Wisler, but I think Allard is next in line for an opportunity.

I believe first they will make a trade for a veteran before they bring Allard.

    I bet you they won’t.

I can't find the article from when he first signed, but I believe Parsons had a golf scholarship. Has had an interesting career track. Has done well at every stop when healthy and ready.

    Not unless one comes "cheap".

Time to find out if Folty and Newk are for real, and the rest of the crowd can fill-in respectably. If Julio, McCarthy, and Sanchez can't succeed as back of rotation innings-eaters, this team isn't going anywhere anyway.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

I remember the same article. I've tried not to hold the fact that he golfs against him.
