Fox has to sell FSSE and Fox Sports South

As part of Fox’s deal to sell to Disney, Disney is not allowed to have regional sports networks because they own ESPN.

Potential buyers include Liberty Media, Comcast, AT&T among others.....

My question is I wonder if we could rework our contract if the network is sold

Liberty would own both the team and the stations so they could end it if they wanted to. Then sell them off to say AT&T and negotiate a new contract which they would benefit from. Sounds like something they would do.

If Liberty buys it, couldn't they just end the contract?

I don't think Braves fans should want Liberty to get any regional sports networks.

That's a good way for Atlanta to get locked into another below market deal.

Liberty would have no incentive that I can see to tear up the contracts. That's probably among the best assets the Fox Sports networks have at this point. If they can keep the Braves below market that keeps that business profitable and in demand. Turner signing that long term bad deal with himself raised the value of his network holdings and helped him get a better price from Time Warner. The Braves are really the afterthought asset in all of this unless it's someone's pet project like it became with Turner.

You definitely want as many outside players bidding for the Braves as possible.

This better not affect my ability to watch the braves every night

Shopping streaming services this weekend. DirecTV Now has had a huge buffering problem since they released their new beta version last month, and it doesn't appear that they're remotely close to working the bugs out. Of course the only problem I've noticed is that the other services (Vue/Sling) only show FS South.

I just switched form dtv now to YouTube tv bc the buffering got out of control.

No complaints with YouTube yet

Can you watch the two regional Braves networks with YouTubeTV? About to call DirecTV and either get rid of them or rework my deal. I need leverage for a new deal. All I really need is the ESPN channels for college football, local channels and the two regional sports networks. Thanks.
