Entered tonight at .308, exited tonight at .305. At this rate, FF will leave the Brewers with an Avg under .300. I see little to base a turn around on quickly. Still going out around pitches mid to outside half of plate and pulling them to right side. Also pitch recognition is gone.

He probably needed a night off with the elbow.

Ok, another question--how much of our current three game struggle is a function of quality opposition, regression, and/or just the ebb and flow of the season?

I'll take the answer off the air. :)

Braves have a very good record against winning teams, no?

we're 4-3 on a very difficult roadtrip, afterall. And, as of now, the only team in the league who has not had a losing streak of more than 3 games

FF projection for rest of year is a .287 Avg, 14 HRs(30 total), 45 RBIs(101 total), and 62 more Ks.

I would say...when you have three crap starts by your pitchers in a row....you are very likely to lose those three games (unless you are lucky).

All of the above. It’s mostly just baseball and the grind of an incredibly long season. Every team goes thru streaks where it just seems like basically everyone is struggling.

We're doing fine on this road trip, even if we lose 3/4 in MIL (which I don't think we will).

This team will not get back on track until Freddie starts hitting again.

Just watched a post game interview with Inciarte. He was much more respectful of Jeff Kellogg than Kellogg deserved. One of the problem with umpires is baseball comes down so hard on players when they say anything negative about an ump that umps have no accountability. Lord knows MLB doesn't even attempt to grade them and weed out bad umps.

I have zero inside knowledge of this but it seems very true. Kellogg had a very poor night calling balls and strikes.

Freeman has had a few hard hit balls for outs the last few days. That said, when he’s so uncharacteristically struggling like he has been for such an extended stretch, I have to wonder if his eye sight is bothering him again.

Yeah, but that whole time out thing was on Ender. And I thought Kellogg showed great restraint in not throwing him out. We need more of that out of umps as opposed to the antagonistic behavior we so often get.
