Now we have to face Jeffers who’s arguably the best setup man in the league....

Freddie is not helping us at all right now. Ugh. He’s swinging at everything... and most of it’s bad.

It has become increasingly trying to watch Freddie at the plate.

i think snit cost us this one, so phillies will tie us for first. we had chances tonight but bad baserunning in the first and snit choking again in a big spot was costly.

How does a bench coach not say hey snit, you need a PH next guy?

Not leaving Culberson as a possible bat for you in that situation is puzzling.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Only thing that makes sense is Snit wanted to be able to play the matchup with a switch hitter. Also possible he thought there was a shot he would be able to sacrifice with Folty instead of using another bench player, and he wanted Culberson to replace Acuna in that scenario.

yes...I think they would have gone with a right against Culberson
