You gotta give it to snit. Not every manager is as forward thinking as him... I mean, batting your lowest OPS hitter first is forward thinking

Man on 1st isn't exactly an easy scoring situation.

I hate it but this game is probably over and really, was thrown away due to 3 things.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

They will if we don’t figure it out. We’re in 85% of the games we play until the end, or at least it feels like it. Again, we’re close.

Teams are close now, but they'll upgrade more than us. Schedule is the big deal though. They got a great schedule thru August and ours is tough

The Braves have done better against bad in division teams than out of division, but throwing away the Orioles series really hurts. Can't really speak about the Reds series, as they might actually be good now and have actually played better than the Braves for a while.

Really, this whole series is going to be a good final indicator across the board. If the Braves can't win here, of the possible playoff teams in the NL, the only teams the Braves have played well against are the Cubs (and for 2 of the games they didn't look like they had it together), Phillies, while they look bad, Washington, and while they look bad, St Louis. That's it. Everyone else has made the Braves look pretty bad so far.

I think we will be good once we get rid of twinter or he realizes that Ender is not a leadoff hitter.

Schedule, smedule--the Phillies beat up on bad/mediocre teams while we struggle with them so we really have no excuses.

Braves at nats first series after break. I predict winner of that series stays in playoff chase till the end. The loser fades, and is out of it by sept 1st

It was probably at the point where the Braves surprisingly beat the Yankees and had won 4 in a row.

But point still stands. Tossing the Orioles series in the trash can was really inexcusable. That series really can't be trashed. People feel bad about going 2-2 vs Toronto, but they aren't completely terrible and can hit even with a different cast. Trashing a series against the worst team in MLB is sad.

The umpire has completely screwed us tonight. Awful strike call for strike two on Markakis then he just looks at a pitch down the middle.
