Unless they're giving up Sixto, i dont know how they can beat LA or NY's offers.

Yankees are Machado's #1 preferred place to play so it's risky to give up that much for a possible rental.

About to be a delay, who knows how long:

Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Sam might get rusty is he doesn't pitch every day. My sources say snit is toying with the idea of using freeman as the opener for every game the rest of the season

Perfect pitch by Freeman...missed by the ump. Hope that baserunner doesn't come back to bite us.

He makes no sense. Sam 4.80. ERA is being used in a high-leverage situation.

Too bad they don't schedule doubleheaders anymore then he could pitch twice a day sometimes.

The only thing that bugs me is if they resign him, and they certainly can open the wallet. If not, ok. Only bad thing is it probably does make them favorites to win the division, though but if he leaves then they just lost a couple good prospects.

Why has this game not been stopped yet? Son of a freak.

Breaking ball/cutter pitchers can and do struggle with wet balls. This game not being stopped likely cost the Braves this game.
