Wright's got one of those things we can't talk about going through 4 in his first AAA start.

Wright's untouchable imo, future ace if healthy.

Like a lot of young pitchers, Wright is having trouble finding his rhythm from the stretch. Still hasn't given up a hit yet, but he is all over the place with the command in the 6th. Still some work to do in finishing school, but he's close

It appears Kyle Wright might do the same thing he did in AA for a while in AAA, some of his meh starts in AA were starts he just ran out of gas. I'm happy he finally got to pitch though, lol...
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

totally dead on GG - he seems to lose it around 80P... for the velocity-minded folks on the board, he was 91 w/ the fastball in the 6th. He did get squeezed on the 1-2 to last batter though, should have had a K to end the 6th

His stamina is a big problem. I’ve seen some say around 50-60 there is a noticeable drop in velocity and command.

And for all the hoopla with Wright (and don’t get me wrong...I like him also), Wilson keeps doing the same, but can go deep.

I have a sick feeling that Wilson will be a guy moved in a trade, and he will also be a guy that we will be sick for years to come afterwards.

I’m not saying Wright isn’t a future starter. I really like him. I actually REALLY like Wright, Touki and Wilson. I don’t think they allow a rotation of Folty, Newk, Wright, Wilson, Touki (or Gohora) because of a lack of experience. Although that would be my preference.

Gohora May end up being the high leverage reliever. Then again....last year we all thought he was the most likely ace of the bunch.

Yeah, but who knew Gohara would eat Gilbert Grape?

I’ve already said that I’m willing to give Gohara a mulligan for this season because of IRL issues, but it’s not exactly a shock that dude would have conditioning/injury issues.

Losing stamina early sucks, but for now I'd have Wright as one of my hard to reach guys and check on him next year after a few starts. Maybe he can resolve that. If he does I think he can be a number two starter.
