We don't have anyone in the DSL\GCL that can start a game without at least a walk for every IP.

It's crazy how little talent we have at those levels right now. Almost not even worth checking their box scores.

    Twitter:

#Braves prospect Kyle Muller has taken a big step forward w/ FB since April. Early in yr, pitching uncontrolled with velo. Now, around the zone 94-96 in the 1st. Command much better.

Man I like Muller, but I’m shocked he is already in AA. I guess they think he’s ready. I just don’t see what the rush is.

Again... its not a rush... if he's ready, let him pitch and let him get a promotion... man I'd be pissed if my boss just kept me in my position if I had earned a promotion just because he said "meh... what's the rush"

Yes but most guys do a full year in Rome. He started in Rome and is already in AA this year. That’s crazy fast. Even faster than Soroka, etc.

Yeah, the Wilson and Muller moves have been pretty amazingly fast.

I'd say we actually don't know anymore. It was the old regimen and mainly with first full year teenaged kids that you saw a MUST first full season in A ball like it seemed mandatory. Because we already saw Drew Waters leave Rome.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Another scoreless inning for Clouse. ERA is down to 1.84 at Double A.

In which case I have also dropped Touki, Wright, Wilson, etc into the 30s.

Ehh... think you're making way too much out of this. We have room to do it, he's earned it and I trust the scouts advising the decision makers. All it does is increase our prospects values if they succeed. And to be fair, except for the ones that it's too early to tell on, the promotions thus far have all worked out beautifully. A ton of our guys have seen their values shoot from raw talent lotto tickets to legit high ceiling prospects

They did that to him just recently. Skipped his spot completely. It has to be workload control.

At the rate pitchers are being promoted through the system, may want to save some innings for Atlanta in September

Bingo. AA is being super aggressive and I can see him bringing up multiple pitchers.

If he's going today, maybe just trying to give him extra day of rest when it seems apt like they have tried to do with Newcomb when possible.
