The NOT August 12 2017 Gamethread

    Seriously. The hell, people?

Newcomb lucky to get out of the 1st unscathed.

Acuna needs to stop looking back when he’s running the bases.

Yep, cost him a steal and the team a run this inning.

    Aguilar has zero range.

On the radio side, Don Sutton said that there is good news for Braves fans: Sam Freeman is starting his rehab assignment.

I'm not sure that was a straight steal for Acuna, but then again, he looked back twice to see if they're picking him off on other steals recently.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

If he's used about twice a week, then thats good, just not every day Sam.

It took Anderson 38 pitches to get through 6 batters.

Not sure if I want Atlanta to get into Milwaukee pen quickly unless it's a blowout.

It actually isn't that great outside Hader/Jeffress/Burnes and everyone except them has struggled lately I think.

Confirmation bias. It's actually below league average but people are thinking its terrible because of so many horrendous games in memory, which this one will now go into too.

I'm wondering if Newk is hurt or they're trying to tinker to gain more control.

Hopefully he settles in, but Newk doesn’t loom great thus far
