Was David Wright trolling Brave fans with that Cuddyer pick? "Didn't have to go far for this pick...grew up with him...good friends..." Thought for sure he was going to say "Justin Upton," but went with trolololol instead.

and wright still said that Cano should just leave it at 3 for the AL to make it fair

    basically admitting his choices sucked.

Wow. I hope he feels good about getting owned in his own park.

Absolute joke that he picked Cuddyer over Goldschmidt. Cuddyer is not a homerun hitter. If he ends up with more than 5 in that ballpark I'll be surprised.

I say Cano should take Ichiro with his last pick. The teams are already lopsided. Hasn't Ichiro claimed he could hit 40 homers a year if he wanted to be that type of hitter? So let's see it. I'd rather see Ichiro try to hit bombs into the Pepsi Porch than watch another generic slugger.

    That works for me.

And yeah Ichiro said he could hit a ton of homeruns if he wanted to hit for a lower average.

Whose brilliant idea was it to choose David Wright as captain? He's not really known for being Mr power guy. He shouldn't even be a participant let alone the captain. He's only hit over 30 HR's in his career twice. Votto, Goldschmidt or Brown would've been good choices.

Brown hits homers in that bull**** park. Certainly, there are better candidates, but Wright picking someone he grew up playing doesn't bother me. We've seen big power hitters crumble at the derby and seen some guys you wouldn't expect to do well do really well. Im interested to see what Harper does, we've all seen the 500 foot aluminum bat homer as a teenager.

I wouldn't call it a bull**** park, but Brown's numbers are interesting. He only has 4 homers with a true distance over 400 feet. And everything is pretty much a deadpull.

Basically brown is hitting a lot of homers that are just barely going. So the question is will this be the norm or will he be struggling down the line as these homers fall just short.

Compare that to say Justin Upton who hit all his homers over 400 ft and to all fields, I think he would have been a better candidate for HR derby but honestly who knows.

Exactly what I keep trying to tell people. Brown has only benefited from the ball park he plays in. If he played for most other teams he would only have 5 or 6 homeruns this season if that many.

How about Boston? Boston is short to the pole and then gets huge really fast. Detroit? Colorado? Miami? Oakland? San Francisco? San Francisco is short to the wall but with the height of the wall and knowing how many of Brown's shots have been low wall scrapers his homerun total would have suffered greatly.
