Passed a huge number of work trucks (power companies, mulchers, etc.) heading east on I-40 from western NC and points west on their way to the coast to help this morning. Latest track I saw looked a whole lot like the one Fran was on when I lived in Charleston and rode it out back in 1996. Ground Zero for it was projected to be Charleston Harbor about 3 hours prior to landfall before it took one final unexpected jog northward. This thing looks like a monster - Fran was pretty devastating to the NC/SC coasts.

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

The latest tracks show Flo going S when it gets close to NC, coming ashore somewhere around Savannah then heading west dumping much rain and Tropical Storm winds across N. Georgia. Does not look good for the Nats serias. Could effect the Cards series starting Mon. They are saying the storm will "linger" for a few days possible not moving out of Georgia until early next week.

My wife’s flo goes south and it lingers. I usually evacuate the area to avoid the devastation.

Good catch, I didn't even think of the next series. I started looking at the models out of curiosity and almost all of them now have a landfall in NC, and a high pressure is going to make it turn southwest, then west into South Carolina and Georgia. Ground zero is going to be the NC coast, but depending on timing it could affect games Sunday-Tuesday.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

My family is in Greensboro, North Carolina, so keep us in your thoughts and prayers. It'll be less impact here than along the NC coast, but it'll still be rough. We're expecting 6-10 inches of rain, depending on the final track.

The divergence between the models is crazy once you get past Friday. But more and more of the models seem to have it going through Georgia. Kind of the reverse of Sherman's March to the Sea.

Piggly Wiggly sounds like a Southern-Style Themed Porn...?

Since the pig is out of business does that mean they’ve run out of...

Braves could get the Friday in, little chance for Sat, Sun, Mon. Tues becomes another possible game day. If the games vs Cards and Nats are cancelled, make up will be slim to none. If they are made up, it will be in Oct looking at schedule. These games are necessary because Cards are in race with Cubs and Nats in race with Braves. These games will probably have little input in standings. It still comes down to Phiiiies series even though they probably won't have any skin in the game.

I'm guessing they try and move them to a nuetral location, if needed.

Maybe baseball should be proactive and start thinking about alternative venues? Braves are better on the road anyways.

How about Missoula? Weather’s perfect here rn and we have a great little stadium on the banks of the Clark Fork. I can guarantee sell-outs for all games.

I'm honestly starting to think the Atlanta area is good to go rain wise (only might be a problem Sunday) and wondering about the forecast I have in East Georgia. That ridiculous SW turn is not as pronounced anymore on a lot of models, so I don't think I should have a 50-70% chance of rain at points this weekend.

This does not help my relocation pitch, friend. Consider logging off.
