Dodgers up by a touchdown over Colorado. They missed the extra point though.

Saw this on Twitter: “Dating back to Friday, 14 of the last 29 base runners to score on the Braves have reached base via walk.”

Easy solution. Stop walking opposing hitters as that’s actually 100% controllable.

AA knows that. He did a great job of getting some help without hurting our window.

We will have O’day next year. He will sign one or two. Guys like Minter will should take another step and we will have more guys from the minors arriving.

The bullpen will be fine. They are running into two very hot teams. They are not the best bullpen in the world, but they aren’t this bad either.

This will be a very different looking team next year. It’s just beginning.

To me this year is just a bonus and if we go far in the playoffs...that will be even better. Because we are young and streaky as heck...I’m not counting on that. I’m still just as happy though.

Just because a pitcher is 16-4 doesn't mean he is a definite Cy Young Candidate, Chip. SMH.

Cards have 10 hits, 9 are XBH variety(4 HRs, 5 DBLs), 7 BBs and a hit batter.

In Sept Braves throwers have issued 84 BBs, recorded 111 Ks, and given up 115 hits in 136 IP going into game 1 vs Cards,

We would probably be tied in this game if we had pulled Biddle and used Venters vs the lefty. Venters hasn't pitched since 14th so why not use him tonight? I doubt Viz pitches in 9th in that case.

Because Snit is top 3 worst in-game managers in the game. That’s why. He may be a good guy and the team may love him, but this board will be pulling it’s hair out when he costs us in the playoffs for years to come.

I’d say AA would love to move him to a office position....it won’t be easy. He will be coming off winning the division with a team that was projected to win 74ish games.

I think a 1-yr extension is probably fair barring a catastrophic collapse. Not sure i see AA giving him 2-3+ guaranteed years.

We need to hire a special "bullpen decision guy/coach" and just take that power away from Snit. Demote Snit to "Manager of team, including bullpen, but not when actually making decisions involving the bullpen"... That will be his official title. The BDG/C's only job will be to know everything there is about bullpen management and relay his decisions to Snit. We will still let Snit take the ceremonial role of walking out and taking the ball from the pitcher because we don't want to completely humiliate the guy.

Then we need to hire a "Control Instructor" and take that power away from Chucky. Chucky will be given the title "Pitching Coach, except for coaching control/command/or how to not walk people"

After that we need to hire Ozzie a "Keep the bat on your shoulders coach" to teach him how to take a walk (Good Job tonight Ozzie). In fact, I kinda think that we could just repurpose Braxton Davidson for this role since its pretty obvious its not going to work out for him as a player.

Brian Snitker is going to go down as the Manager of the Year with the least amount of job security of all time.

this seems to be pretty typical of relievers in general.

heard on the radio this morning that over the last 4 games, the braves have given up something crazy like 32 walks....

that is a direct reflection of our pitching coach IMO. im fine bringing snitker back for another year, i'd love to have the rest of the coaching staff back, except Hernandez....he should have been fired a long time ago.
