What was that by Albies? man. So much for the leadoff hit.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.
bad walk and now a balk called
you cannot walk a speedy runner with our catcher, oh he came off the bag he is out.
He clearly came off they better reverse this.
Replay got it right. I'm stunned.
they got it right
MLB needs to change that rule now that we have replay. If the player touches the bag and then slides over the bag then they should still be safe so long as part of their body is still over the bag.
thank you weso1!

Review's flaw is...unless it's blatantly obvious the guys in the booth will protect their own.

Freeman missed that fastball down the middle
MVFree
Freeman all day son
I think the MLB hierarchy is in more in the business of protecting its umpires than necessarily getting the call right. In the case of the play at third base, the ump couldn't have reasonably seen what happened so they were comfortable with overturning it. I know it's "conspriracy theory" but I can't recall many instances of calls being overturned when it's close and the ump just missed it.
he didnt miss that curve though, 1-1. He did Freeman a favor throwing that.
The Phillies’ defense is amazing.
