Here come the carp SEC excuses. Every year they get stomped and its bc the team just doesnt care.

    Nice blowouts yesterday.

The SEC was down overall this year. Anyone saying different has their head in the sand.

And in a down year, it's still largely on par with everyone else. If you look at what the conference lost in terms of QBs, shouldn't be that surprising.

Clearly a down year. Carp still thinks the SEC has the too 5 teams in country but they lose bc they just dont have anything to play for.

One thing is for sure. If Alabama falls tonight, the SEC fan base will disappear.

I picked TCU to win. As did the wide majority of people outside the state of MS. Even Tim Tebow before the game said TCU has a lot more to play for and will be motivated to prove the selection committee wrong. But I guess even if Tim Tebow says it, he's just an SEC homer right?

I also picked G-Tech. Not b/c of motivational issues, but I was fairly confident MS St wouldn't be able to stop that GT running game. If you aren't familiar with playing against the triple option, you generally struggle to stop it.

I picked Bama in this one, but have them losing to Oregon in the championship. But if Bama loses, that is no skin off my back.

You should pick TCU, they were better than all but 1 SEC team (and maybe better than that one). Messy St had a month to prepare For GT, not an excuse.

Ole Miss wasn't the same team after Treadwell got hurt. They just weren't an elite team after that. He meant everything to their offense. I think before that they were right up there in the top 5.
    thank you weso1!

Haven't seen Baylor much this season, but does their coaching staff whine to the refs like this every game?

Oh and Michigan State didn't have a reason to play today. So when the blow out is finished, it's okay.

As a 49r fan, you should be used to ref whining.

Also, this just comes off as whining because your team is getting run through the wood chipper .

Doesn't make much difference, but these bowl games are home games for way too many teams.

GT is a good team. I give them all the credit in the world. Same with TCU (who I bitched about not making it in the Top 4 earlier in this thread).

That doesn't make Ole Miss or Ms St. overrated anymore than MIchigan St getting blown out Baylor. I'd consider all these teams top 10 (well may be not Ole Miss without Treadwell).

I'm sure Baylor would rather be in Pasadena or New Orleans than Dallas right now.

Yeah and I am sure it's fair for Maryland to travel like 1600 miles and Stanford is a three minute drive from the bowl location too.
