Imagine if Ohio state finishes 11-1 and the number 2 team in the country yet Penn State wins the big ten.

Just proves that the CFP committee only cares about name brands and what matchups they can create. Now these rankings will change, but the message is clear. If you are a name brand school losses don't matter.

Looking at potentially two teams going to playoff from the B1G.

I'd say right now that there's a higher chance the ACC sends 2 teams than any other conference. Both Louisville and Clemson will in all likelihood finish the regular season with 1 loss. Clemson has the best win among all the playoff contenders at this time. I don't see the committee voting in a 2 loss team over either Louisville or Clemson.

Louisville has only beat one above average team this year. People say they don't have the wins to jump into the final four.

If that two loss team is Michigan they will get in for sure. Losing games isn't a penalty if you are Michigan.

Beating Houston would be a solid win for them. Their only loss was to Clemson in a close game. And they'll more than likely sport the Heisman winner, making them a popular pick.

Doesn't make them a top four team though.

    – There’s still no real path for Louisville, even at No. 5. No, 11-1 Louisville – if it finishes that way – wouldn’t get in over a 12-1, Pac-12 champion Washington. No, it wouldn’t get in over an 11-2, Big Ten champion Wisconsin or Penn State. No, it wouldn’t get in over an 11-2, Pac-12 champion Utah or Colorado.

The problem is the resume – Ohio State has a good one, and Louisville doesn’t.

As fun as the Cardinals are, and as amazing as Lamar Jackson might be, don’t fall for the shiny ball of tin foil – they’ve beaten an okay Florida State, a mediocre Wake Forest, and a whole bag of nothing else.

I think the voters will see it differently. I don't see any 2 loss team getting in over an 11-1 Louisville team. Unless by some miracle Florida wins out and beats Bama.

Nobody votes anymore. It's a committee who decides everything now. Name brands above all. Louisville isn't getting in over Michigan, Ohio State, or Penn State. Only way Louisville sniffs the playoff is if Clemson loses another game and Louisville looks really their last two games.

Wow, good thing Louisville hasn't been bitching and moaning about not being ranked higher or anything....

They were never actually in the equation. I don't agree with saying bye to them.
