The playoff committee screwed up bad this year. Best 4 are Bama, Clemson, Ohio St, and Georgia. Big drop after those 4.

I don't think Ohio State would have fared any better. Funny thing is I think UCF if they didnt lose their QB could beat ND and hold their own with OU.
I am all about UCF and think they deserved a shot. Not going to try and make a case for Ohio State. They got thrashed by an average Purdue team who lost a nail bitter to Auburn. The Buckeyes do play up to their opponent, but stomping scUM wasn’t enough to have people forget about Purdue. I do think Ohio State would have been a better game than Oklahoma, but it’s all moot because nobody is beating Alabama.

Don’t get skull drug by LSU and you don’t get snubbed. OR Don’t choke vs an injured Tua and Bama. Period

Your argument then becomes “we need ten teams to determine the winner” which we can all get behind.

This expansion talk needs to stop too. All these semifinals games are producing is revenue. Yes I know that is the main goal, but only two of these games have ever been competitive. The committee sucks, but the gap from Alabama to Clemson and then the rest of the country is why these games blew tonight. Everyone in the country knew the only reason why Notre Dame got in was because of their name.

I will say this OU wide receiver Lamb is a baller. Wish he would shut his mouth though.

Bama was a bit sloppy at times. Also have to give credit to Oklahoma for not giving up. But the Tide got the job done tonight. One more game. And another showdown with Clemson.

OU definitely one of the top 4 teams. Problem is, you can't come out flat when playing Bama. Took them too long to get anything going on offense, but when they started clicking Bama didn't have much of an answer.

Bama and Clemson ought to be good. Clemson one of the few teams that can match Bama talent for talent on both sides of the ball, and Clemson has the better defense right now.

Credit to the Sooners for not throwing the towel in, but the game was never in doubt. When your defense is so bad like that OU you have no margin for error. The game was over 10 minutes in. Another CFP semifinals flop.

Georgia decided to pout instead of actually play football. They played about as bad as they had all year. It was clear from the start that the team didn't want to be there and didn't take Texas seriously.

I lay a lot of the blame on the coaches. Kirby Smart is a terrific recruiter but he's an average coach. Not getting the team up for the game and focused is totally on him. He let the players throw themselves a pity party at getting left out of the playoffs.

I'm also getting more and more of the mind that Fromm is not and never will be an elite QB. He does a good job of getting things ready pre-snap and of reading defenses and knowing which receiver will likely be open or where there will be a mismatch. However, something I've noticed about him is that Fromm struggles knowing when a receiver running his route is about to get open. The best QBs know when a receiver will get open and has the ball on the way before that happens. If you wait until the receiver is open to throw the ball, you give defenses time to realize their mistake and fix it. There are so many times I've seen where if Fromm had thrown the ball earlier, the receiver would have been wide open for a huge gain. By waiting until the receiver is actually open it ends up with the receiver getting tackled immediately or the pass getting broken up.

Unless Fromm learns how to throw before his receiver actually gets open, he's going to struggle against strong pass defense.

I actually “like” Georgia and don’t mean to pile on. Last night was why you didn’t make the playoff. I understand if they won 28-21 it wouldn’t be all that impressive anyway. These non playoff bowl games are even more watered down than before and the allure that once was is all, but gone.

Clemson clearly the better team. Alabama loses from time to time, but I can’t remember the last time they got thoroughly manhandled in all aspects of the game. Clemson isn’t going anywhere anytime soon either. Clemson basically just Alabamed Alabama last night.

Clemson secondary basically manned up and the DL played like they are able against a good front. Even missing some guys they had a good night. That big rangy safety was down helping out too. They lose a ton on the DL, but I'm sure they will reload there.

In case you’re wondering, that was the worst loss for Alabama since 38-7 in the 1998 Music City Bowl. Mike DuBose was the Coach.

I kinda got the feeling that both Georgia and Oklahoma figured out a few things in Bama's defense but just didn't have the horses to fully exploit it. Clemson obviously didn't have that problem. Just my opinion though.
