My heart says we get Brantley and Keuchel but my head says we re-sign Neck and add Keuchel. I could live with either I guess but I'd be stoked with the former!

Really cool Q&A segment here with Chris Dimino and Ben Ingram (clocks in at 40 minutes if you've got the time)

A lot of talk about Keuchel. Are we that serious about him?

    I understand that.

The point is this Dimino guy is pretty clearly clueless if that’s his take on the Braves rotation. Anyone with half a brain understands Julio is nothing more than the 4 or 5 moving forward.

If that. If he didn’t have a 10m figure next to his name on the balance sheet he’d be on the outside looking in if there were guys in ST that showed up at all

AA’s latest quotes via Bowman suggest the Braves were nowhere close to valuing Cutch at 3/50 despite that value being pretty much spot on with competent projections.

This notion that Cutch is lumped in with Markakis and Cargo makes me afraid the FO thought it could get Cutch for something like 2/30, and spent $23M on JD while under that assumption.

Hopefully my concerns are unfounded and the JD signing isn’t going to result in punting LF in 2019.

Not sure why anyone takes what Chris Dimino says serious.

Anthopoulos chose not to comment on the possibility the Marlins' thought process has changed. Instead, he indicated he is comfortable with the likelihood of entering 2019 with McCann and Tyler Flowers as his catchers. At the same time, Anthopoulos seemed to indicate it's his responsibility to at least continue to monitor the market for what stands as one of this offseason's top available assets.

"We're happy with what we have behind the plate," Anthopoulos said. "If any great players are available via trade, we're not doing our job if we don't explore that. I just don't know if it's fair for me to comment on what Miami [is thinking]. I certainly wouldn't want them going on the record with what I was talking about with them

Surely if we sign Garrett Anderson, Raul Mondesi, and Brian Jordan we could get decent production from LF , right?

One team that I haven't really thought a ton about is the Pirates. Do they think they can compete this year? Obviously they thought they could last year by making that ill conceived Chris Archer trade. But if they come to the conclusion that they may need to punt next year, does one of their outfielders make any sense for us?

As with everyone you are hoping you get their good seasons. Kuechel is no different. If he’s a Cy Young winning pitcher again thats great. If he’s anything like last season then why bother signing him? What are people thinking is a benchmark number for a contract?

If they could then they are getting busted for HGH.

Outfielder Mel Rojas Jr., the son of the former pitcher, is looking for a major-league job after hitting 43 homers with a .980 OPS last season in Korea. Rojas, 28, is a switch-hitter who plays all three outfield positions. Eric Thames’ final season in Korea: 40 homers, 1.106 OPS.

Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger is not untouchable, but if they’re going to trade him, it’s going to take a substantial offer. General manager Jerry Dipoto is holding out for a three- to four-player package headlined by a pair of “high-level prospects,” including a pitcher, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.

Haniger is definitely available. Sounds like we match up pretty well. Wright and Pache would definitely be 2 high level prospects and one being a pitcher.
