The homer in me wants to predict that punting cOF means JTR is on his way to Atlanta.

If not, this has pretty clearly been a below average offseason. C- at best if they add some MLB depth, D+ if they don’t add more to the edges of the roster.

Winter is not over but my faith in this FO has all but disappeared. If we start the season with no more clear upgrades then I want a new GM. We had the financial and prospect capital to clearly build a better team.

It seems focusing on JD early hamstrung them exactly as I feared it would.

There would have to be a corresponding move....right?

I am not shocked that Nick is back. I WILL be shocked if that is t followed up by another move.

Like Kimbrel on a one year deal.

Hopefully this is like the Mac signing with the JD signing announced right after.

Please give us something else to be excited about AA!

I will loose more faith if we follow this up with spending the rest of our money on a declining closer and not address better offense.

One would like to think punting cOF was done to accommodate splurging at another position, much like punting C was done to accommodate splurging at 3B.

I would hope the FO is smart enough not to punt cOF in order to add a BP arm that will cost a draft pick, and I’m going to continue to give them the benefit of the doubt

If he plays more than 80 games then this is a disappointing move.

Don’t get me wrong...I don’t want Kimbrel back for more than say 10-12 mil...which won’t happen.

I just think he is freeing money elsewhere by this signing.

If it's not a Realmuto trade AND Kimbrel signing, AA just guaranteed they'll receive no revenue from me this year - no chance I go to the park to see him play RF unless they fix the other holes.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

That is my hope. But I am not sure he has the balls or brains to do it right.

he's presumably signed to be a starter, not a bench bat. i don't really care about the money in this. i care that he's the "solution" to cOF. if no other move is made to upgrade another spot big time, this isn't good.
