Pache is about 21 and has sniffed aa. I dont know why ppl keep pushing him. Let him spend a full year at aa and aaa.

Ideally he does great and you trade two years of ender at 17 million total for years 22-28 of Pache.

1.5 years away at least imo

I think everyone wants the best talent around the young core now. But I agree. Let the kid develop and hopefully we have another future star.

I stumbled onto mlb.com and saw Paddack having a tremendous spring and just reminded me of how stupid the fish are. They traded this kid for 67 year old Rodney. I remember wanting to trade viz for this guy. I can’t remember if we had grilled cheese then. But I would have given most any guy on our team back then.

Pache is 1 year and a few weeks away. He won't be held in the minors for half of the '20 season. Just long enough to gain an extra year of control like Acuna.

the only thing that bothers me about Pache is he isnt a Golden Wren
It's a shame the White House has become an adult day care center. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning. Senator Bob Corker

    Pache isnt acuna

Hes never been close to the prospect. I think we rushed dansby and it hurt.

Most people, even top 50 prospects, should not be in mlb at 21-22.

Can he have one season where he looks like a plus hitter in the minors first?

Id rather have another year of inciarte production than a year of Pache producing line inciarte. If you are a believer in the power Id rather have that age 27 or 28 year of control

Not so terrible today. 4IP 3H 1ER 6K. Obviously not seeing his stuff live, but a good line nonetheless.

I know its Spring Training, but Pache would be a top-5 most valuable player in baseball if he can learn to be an average hitter.

He would a very *good* player, but this is grossly overvaluing the value of defense.

Kevin Kermaier and Ender Inciarte are two elite defensive center fielders who have hovered around league average with the bat and they are in the 3-5 WAR range. We would be so fortunate for Pache to grade out as well as KK.

Pache would need to make that jump to the 120 wRC range to become an elite player. If he could get to 130-140 wRC then he could become a top 5 MLB type player.

I think average bat is a likely optimistic outcome with 120 as a high case outcome if he learns plate discipline. It would take a massive approach and swing change to reach that 130-140 plateau.
