Braves went 10 years too. Just offered only 50 million total. Thought they made a good value offer

If all 3 teams are willing to go 10 years, why in the hell did this take so long?
Bryce wants to skip spring training.

Bryce gonna get booed like crazy in Philadelphia if he goes somewhere else. Lol. I will definitely be watching if that’s the case.

Fact of the matter is most MLB players are likely smart enough to represent themselves if they wanted to do so. An agency could sell a "standard contract" with all the typical player protections and clauses for players to use, and the players could take a look around and determine a fair price for their services.
I'm sure RocketLawyer has some good stuff.

What does everyone think about Evan Gattis as a cheap bench piece. He can DH in the AL games. He could catch if needed. He's played 1st and LF, although badly. He's a power RH off the bench. If you could get him 1 yr/$1M, I think it's worth a look.

The perception is that Atlanta has drafted so much pitching but we’ve traded for a bunch too. All of the trades were good with the debatable exception of the Simmons deal.

I bet Ray Allen could've gotten over 5% more on his contract if he had an agent. It's not just about knowing what you want, but how to posture and negotiate.

Basically, this is dumb for 99% of players to do.

    That Simba trade was horrible.

I guarantee you Allen would not have gotten more with an agent.

How many points would he be paying to the agent though?
