Harper doesn’t want to go to the Phils and it makes me laugh. They will have to give him 400 mil to sign him. They are literally his last choice.

    Hardly.

And I think he really wants to play on the west coast. Guess we'll see.

You’ve got to be kidding me... I’ve been to Philly a number of times. I hate that city. It’s awful

San Diego's MLB team might suck, but living there year round isn't such a bad idea.

Philly isnt a terrible city to live in but it's not close to the West Coast or NY. But it's kinda funny they sent their owner there for 2+ days, and still nothing happened, only way he's going there it seems is if they give him 400M.

It's pretty clear he doesnt wanna go there.

I think he's probably gonna go to Philly but if he wanted to be there, he'd have signed there a long time ago.

I would take less cash to play in a city I really like. Can’t imagine Philly would be in his top ten. Now his ego is bruised because he has to beat Manny’s payday, but there is only one team that appears they will.

Maddux took less to play here rather than NY. It happens.

We were one of the best and youngest teams in baseball the previous 2 years before he came here. Also was in a city with golfing weather year round.

I live in Bismarck... but I lived in midtown Atlanta for 6 years.... North Chicago 3 years... both easily better than Philly. Philly is dirty, the people are rude and it’s just a dull depressing city,

If we're talking about hundreds of millions of dollars, I would go to the place I wanted to go as long as there was a reasonable offer on the table. If I have to give up 50 million or 5 million a year to be in a place I like with people I like and maybe a better chance to win, I'd make that trade off. But only when we are talking about absurd amounts of money like this.

Yeah, I might have to scrimp a bit. Yeah, I'd have to settle for a 3 deck Sunseeker Mega Yacht instead of a gold plated 3 deck Sunseeker Mega Yacht. Yeah, maybe I'd have to sell my Gulf Stream 4 and downgrade to a Gulf Stream 3 instead. But I'd manage.

This is gonna sound weird, but I'd honestly love to live in a place like Bismarck. I prefer cold weather and I don't like crowded cities. I'm jelly

Oh me and my family are in love with Bismarck... the people are great, the town has been revitalized and is pretty hip. I don’t know if I’d love it single but as a family with 3 kiddos and always interesting weather as a meteorologist it’s perfect for us. I just can’t compare it to the cities with millions of people. I do know I can’t go back to huge cities... too busy... too claustrophobic now.

I have a feeling this may be a fight between where Boras wants Harper to go and where Harper wants Boras to go

As a guy who used to travel for work a ton. I couldn’t agree more about philly. Horrible city. Maybe areas are nice but all the places I have been were depressing and dirty. And I was us air guy so philly was a hub and I hated that airport. I always tried to go through charolette when possible.

I travel for work constantly, visit many ballparks a year, all states, all timezones, etc.
Philly is By FAR the worst in the book. In every way.
Just my one cent. The Democrats stole my other one.

Philly is terrible. Why do you think so many poor people in west Philadelphia send their children to live with their aunties and uncles in southern California?
