Kyle Wright will have a huge start tomorrow. If he keeps up the good work, he will begin to force his way into play.

Right now, he's probably the front runner for the 5th spot. Obviously things can change though.

Kevin Kermaier and Ender Inciarte are two elite defensive center fielders who have hovered around league average with the bat and they are in the 3-5 WAR range. We would be so fortunate for Pache to grade out as well as KK.

Pache would need to make that jump to the 120 wRC range to become an elite player. If he could get to 130-140 wRC then he could become a top 5 MLB type player.

I think average bat is a likely optimistic outcome with 120 as a high case outcome if he learns plate discipline. It would take a massive approach and swing change to reach that 130-140 plateau.
I'm not worried about 'elite' for Pache at the moment. I know he has skeptics but I'm firmly in the camp that says he's every bit the prospect Waters is. If he does 15-20 HR power, with his defense, we all should be happy. You heard from me since rookie ball on him. He's the hardest working player I've seen in a while....

Before Andruw said it, I said that the coaches had him playing small ball when he first signed. I'm in the Pache corner, just watch. Big year for him.

Acuña , Pache and Waters would be a real nice outfield.

MLBTR reports that Folty won't be ready for opening day and may take 1-3 times thru rotation for him to be back in rotation.

Braves top starter Mike Foltynewicz won’t be ready for the start of the season, general manager Alex Anthopoulos revealed Monday (Twitter link, with video, from 680 The Fan). The 27-year-old was scratched from a start nearly two weeks ago due to elbow soreness.

Anthopoulos wouldn’t forecast specifically how much time Foltynewicz would need to get ready, as he’s not yet progressed to throwing off a mound. The GM speculated on anywhere from one to three would-be turns through the rotation, though the situation remains fluid.

Man that’s not good at all. I hope TJ isn’t in the future but I’ll keep my fingers crossed it isn’t.

Do we understand yet why it's unwise to extend pitchers who are already controlled through the entirety of their 20s?

So you’re saying we shouldn’t trade for Bumgarner and extend him for 5 years?...

It doesn’t take a sales engineer to see why that’s a bad idea.
