I seriously doubt that Braves will lose any of the arb hearings. Maybe Freddie but dont think so.

And then ... they lose ... exactly what? $300K?
Braves driving a hard bargain shouldn't engender ill-will from the players, especially if they understand the economics of being a middle market team.
So we lose our core players within a season. It's looking pretty clear that those guys want nothing to do with this organization.
At least it looks like Dan is trying to get in shape for the season -
Looks like our window is now 2 years
Even if the Braves win in this arb. hearing, they still lose.
I wish they had given Schafer's spot to an org. guy and used that money for negotiations.

Schafer was terrible the second half, and while his first half was good his track record isn't. He only hit .247 for the season with a .677 OPS even with his great start. Further, Schafer hasn't been better in the Majors than Constanza. They've both have had streaks of good play in the Majors but Constanza has better numbers (Schafer has hit .227 with a .622 OPS, Constanza has hit .278 hit with .650 OPS). Plus Constanza is a proven playoff performer at every level he's played (Majors, Winter ball, AAA, etc).
Bottom line: They're both similar players and Cunningham is likely in the same category. So all things considered, I'd go with the cheaper two over Schafer.
