FG hasn't posted their final v4.1 mock yet. If they also go Rutledge I think we will have to prepare for the pitcher/pitcher outcome.

If Abrams is there at 9 and the Braves take a pitcher instead I think we will have legit cause to be upset.

If they choose a pitcher over Carroll because the arm is BPA, we will just have to shake our head and wish him the best.

Would you consider it a success if we drafted two pitchers and one busted like Allard and one ended up being a Soroka-level stud.

I'm with you there. If Abrams floats down to us, we really should take him. We won't have a chance to draft a hitting prospect of his caliber for a long time (assuming the window of contention pans out as I expect).

With the benefit of this knowledge, it would be a resounding success.

Unfortunately, the hit rate on getting a Soroka isn't even close to 50%.

Yeah, this is probably the highest we're gonna pick in a long time barring something crazy happening. I'd go for upside/boom over a safe pick.

The MLB draft boadcast is now saying Witt is the 2nd best SS prospect ever...ahead of Chipper and behind only ARod.

Come on...my god this is absurd.

Rutledge is huge! And he seems pretty intelligent.

Reynolds is the worst part of the broadcast every year. It’s insane he keeps getting invited back.

If he calls every 1st round pick "the next" HoF/star MLB player that plays the same position and is the same ethnicity, and is correct on a couple...it just proves that sometimes good prospects become good players.

Either way, he isn't as good at judging athletes as you. I mean, your dad played college baseball, so your are, by extension, an expert.

I mean . . . the likelihood of Witt being Yount is very, very remote.

But to automatically laugh at it just makes you like foolish.

Better athlete than you. I believe you have bragged about being a D1 player on here before when you were making fun of Fat Ben.

But is it as foolish as saying someone will become their top .001% talent ceiling

    No...

Claiming you "know athletes" because your dad played baseball makes you look foolish.

Betting Acuna will go 30/30 in an abbreviated rookie season makes you look foolish.

Losing that bet and then backing out on the payment makes you look foolish.

Defending a guy comparing every single draft prospect to a HoF player makes you look foolish.
