This Kalich kid better not have Kerwin or Kevin for a middle name.

Kasey Kalich goes to us in the 4th round. I know nothing of this guy other than him being teammates with Shewmake I guess.

Kalich is majoring in Agricultural Leadership. Let us hope that animal husbandry is not part of the curriculum.

Remember Zack Hess? The LSU pitcher the Braves tried to figure out how to pay last year? Still available.

That's what the Indians did last year in the second round and Sandlin has been unreal for them in AA.

Just turned 21 in April; draft-eligible sophomore thanks to starting off in the CC ranks; good size, suggesting maybe he can add a bit of velocity as a pro. As TC notes, “Kalich has also struck out 47 batters against 11 walks, while racking up a 14.3 K/9 rate.”

Picks 21 and 60 still feel like the real head-scratchers.

Love the last pick of the 4th round: Noah Song. Noah Song? Of course, I know a song. More than one in fact.

Is that song “In the Navy”? Because I think he’s Army.

    Strictly a reliever, it's said.

I don't get too high or low at this point in the draft. Taking a reliever that doesn't have great velocity isn't my first choice but maybe they see some untapped potential that's worth a 4th rounder.

    Stephen Paolini: https://www.perfectgame.org/Players/...aspx?ID=508117

He bears a resemblance to Matthew Modine.

Sum up our draft in one tweet:

"Haven't heard much feedback on Stephen Paolini after reaching out for some info. Sounds like most teams weren't on him. #Braves obviously were one of them.

The Braves draft team is either very smart, or very not smart.
