Goldy - this should not be hard for you.
What is the difference between the two situations?

you can go back and read where i showed the very basic difference between the two
ie: post 1090 and others
you can look at all of those exchanges where i answered and even asked you things you left unanswered as well.
lol you die on some weird hills

"When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross"
lol
i guess you still don't like those answers
i'm shocked
i did enjoy your "armed" with rocks and umbrella video though
so similar to occupying a building with guns lol

People occupying federal land in both instances
Local officials not intervening in both instances
Feds get involved in both instances
Goldy upset about one (the one where people are destroying property and threatening lives)
Not at the other (the one where it was completely peaceful)
Wonder why...

what i love about ya
is that every argument never looks at any of the outside mitigating factors of anything
it's always in a vacuum
it is hypothetical or slipper slope etc

You're incapable of coherently explaining what's different
i literately already have

another attack by very poorly chosen one's administration on first amendment rights...they occur with some frequency
btw the whole Bolton thing, whatever you think of him and his book, was another attack on first amendment rights, under cover of protecting national security secrets

CBP has deployed 2,174 personnel,
46 aircraft and 2 drones to assist dozens
of police departments across the country
since June, per CBP document leaked to me.
This operation is much, much bigger than just Portland:

Since the death of George Floyd, reporters -
who are charged with upholding for the 1st Amendment - ALSO carry
ballistic vests, hardened helmets and gas masks.
We aren’t striking, tear-gassing or shooting anyone.
IT’S FOR PROTECTION FROM AUTHORITIES.

I am relieved that the court has protected Michael Cohen’s First Amendment rights,
but think about what this means. Trump Admin tried to imprison a citizen for writing
a book critical of the President. It is not an overstatement to say that this is
a hallmark of tyranny.
a few weeks back a fellow Braves fan was fond of throwing the word "tyranny" around when it came to mandates dealing with public health issues
so many here tried to explain the meaning of the word.
Instead of being ahead of the curve and siding with Mr Cohen's rights
where the government was in fact caught red handed squelching his free speech, as prescribed in the Constitution. Yet, our fellow Braves fan, resident "Libertarian Not a Trump Guy" it seems to, without coaxing stay silent on the issue
one would think he and the troop of other Libertarian Not Trump Guys would side of with our 1st Amendment.
Without coaxing
We'll have to see

As I have noted before this fellow Braves fan would not recognize an attack on free speech if it hit him in the nuts.
All (and I mean 100%) of his efforts to call out attacks on free speech are to make a partisan point. It is sad really. Just sad.

62% of Americans don't feel they can speak freely.
The feds aren't arresting peaceful protesters. Pretending that is happening is laughably dishonest.
But why are there federal buildings in Portland? And if the locals won't protect it, who will?
Yell can answer that at your leisure. I won't hold my breath
The Feds are legal to protect the grounds of Federal Buildings in Portland ( or any city) what is at issue is them leaving the grounds
searching out conflict.
you knew that, right ?
That is an honest question
