We have a long history of local governments dealing with persistent even violent protests without the feds pouring gasoline on the fire. This is very poorly chosen one's innovation.
The feds are there to provoke and escalate. And I'm glad to see the Moms and Vets and others in Portland and elsewhere stand up to this attack on our first amendment rights.
