Yeah he wants Biden. Why do you think he did the Ukraine thing? Here's a hint, it makes a talking point he can use against him. It makes democrats think Biden is more electable than he is if Trump is so afraid of him. It's a smart move.

Bernie won't lose many independents. And if Conservative Dems would rather vote for Trump than Bernie they shouldn't be in the party. That's fine.

You don't need republican Never Trumpers to vote for Bernie, just need them to not show up, it's the optimal scenario for the dems.

And Biden voters learned nothing in 2016. Looking forward to your excuses for losing with the electability candidate.

This is an older poll but still

That's not factoring in new voters Bernie could bring in as he would have probably get the best youth turnout since 2008 for Obama.

I learned Buttigieg and Klobuchar are getting cushy cabinet/vp noms for quitting at the optimal time for Biden success .We'll see what happens if Warren drops out like Bloomberg and we have a true either or.

I hate it. I think it's too old. Of course with all the coddling the position gets, it can be managed, but it's not optimal. The job is just too overwhelming, mentally and psychologically. I'd love to see the election rules completely overhauled, including the age restrictions on being President. Older politicians could still be advisors and have tons of power, but the person sitting behind the desk and speaking to the world everyday needs to not be dealing with the onset of dementia.

Like I said, FDR was 57 after 3 terms of Great Depression and WWII.

Just two age years short of Biden's voting Bush 43 authority to lay waste of Iraq.
Which seems like a lifetime ago
    ………

Flip side is, what 40 year old's have impressed over the past 20 years ?
    Obama some would argue ?

The shame of the Obama Presidency and the Clinton before that to me was he relied, out of political necessity, on older party hacks.
Same with Bush 43. Last President to build a bench would have been FDR ? JFK ?
    Correct me if I'm wrong
    ….

Even the Reagan Revolution -- though having a societal impact it left no leaders

The main task of a president is choosing a good group of babysitters. As the job has gotten bigger the importance of the babysitters has grown.

So the Democrat establishment is knee-capping Bernie again? Wonder of wonders.

And the African-American vote, which a D candidate has to have to get the nomination, didn't go for Mayor Pete; or an old, yankee, socialist; or an old, NY billionaire; or an old Harvard-wonkish professor; and, instead went for the VP of President Obama? Shocked. Shocked, I tell you.

The only viable young candidate was Buttigieg and the DNC elected to rally around Biden. It's fine, when Trump wins in 4 years AOC Will be old enough to be president and we can really watch people freak out. It will be amusing.

Considering he was the worst candidate on civil rights yeah I am shocked. But what do I know. I guess black people like it.

Bernie comes across as obstinate and bull-headed. Do his supporters really think he can be a good manager and make the kinds of connections and compromises that are necessary to get anything of substance accomplished?

Bernie has been a mayor, congressman and Senator. He's principled which is why unlike Biden he didn't vote for Iraq War, Patriot Act, etc. That scares people to have someone who has a moral code they believe in and fear can't shake that. I don't think Bernie will be able to get what he wants done, because juat like under Obama the republicans will become a steel wall, but Bernie will be able to get a handful of important things done via executive order that no one else can.

I think he comes across as passionate and steadfast

Depends on the make up of the Senate

Well Bloomberg was pulling more votes than Warren in 9 of the 14 states on Super Tuesday. And it's likely all his votes start going to Biden. So any net gain Bernie might get from Warren dropping out will be offset by voters switching from Bloomberg to Biden.
