i'm glad you brought that here

    that was really important

i mean, it overlooks the irony that trump literately forces people to praise him/endorse him but cool

Trump approval ratings back to low 40s, as predicted. Only about 45 percent feel he has handled this epidemic well.

Justin Amash hinted at running in 2020. At this point, I'll take it.

    Obama starts with an O

    O is 2 letters before Q

    Q is 3 letters before T

I don't know how I feel about Amash running. I would vote for him 100%, but I feel like he will take more votes from Biden than Trump. And I think it's too late in the game to start a presidential bid that he can win.

Could it be our CCP media?

    why ?

    1) He has no chance of winning.
    2) Even if you agreed with him, he alienated over 1/2 of the present congress and the (R) power structure, 99% of his policy stnces are are anethma to (D)
meaning even if he had a platform it is DOA
    3) History proves that protest votes are usually more harmful to those casting (Nader/ Iraq War -- Johnson/ Trump)
    4) Who (would be) is funding his campaign and what does he owe them
    5) As a Sanders supporter the past two elections he was in fact
a niche candidate and suffered the fate of all niche candidates
    6) If you have such a rebel wish - buy a motorcycle . Or something

I feel like we've had this debate before and will never agree with each other.

But, if you really want to go down that road again:

    1) I don't see as much of a difference as you do between Trump & Biden - I'd much rather vote for someone I believe in, even if that person has no chance of winning, than try to pick the lesser of two evils. I have better things to do than stand in line and vote to give power to someone I despise.

    2) There's more to a vote than picking a winner - I believe the two party system is failing to offer real choice and one way to change the system is to vote against it.

    3) If you live in a solid blue or solid red state, you're not swinging an election (even if that was something I care about, which I don't...see point 1).

    4) Amash would be the only of the three who hasn't been accused of sexual assault and isn't showing signs of dementia. I should probably move this up to #1.

    5) You say his platform would be DOA - even if that's true, I'd take a DOA libertarian platform over an alive populist Republican or Democrat platform every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

3rd party votes are nothing more than vanity votes.
    The vanity of the voter

You, like some others here , are an adult.
Being an adult translates to a constant stream of lesser of "2 evils" choices
    You know that

Biden is far from ideal. Trump is an abomination
    ..........

    1) Wm Barr -- Kavanaugh. Draconian Immigration policies. Health care, environment
Social security, Medicare and Medicade, Infraastructure. Tax policies, etc etc etc
    Air of civility
    2) Actually, it is. By voting your conscience for the policies that are your favor
These past two elections should you coumn them up, ther is quite a bit of difference.
Witness the past couple months) ---
    4) Or been charged with nepotism. Rightly or wrongly. I am suspicious the timing of the Biden accusations
    5) then what is his appeal. You could just as well vote for Stacey Abrams as a 3rd Party if that is your stance. If it is not to enact policies -- it is
nothing more than a beauty contest

I gotta go back to work

I think it is hard to get dander up about 3rd party votes in a truly uncontested state. That's definitely a great place for them to play their symbolic role.

But if you vote for one in a close state you are mostly just voting to have your candidate crucified.
