Showtime just dropped a show bases on Comey's book. Thats...... something
"Donald Trump will serve a second term as president of the United States.
It’s over."
Little Thethe Nov 19, 2020.
"For there is always light, if only we are brave enough to see it. If only we are brave enough to be it." Amanda Gorman
"When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross"
You all remember Trumps mentor lawyer Roy Cohn. I did not know this but Cohn was Senator Joseph McCarthy's chief legal counsel during those hearings. He was apparently gay and died of aids while insisting it was actually liver cancer and the IRS took everything he owned upon his death to pay back taxes leaving only a pair of diamond cuff links given to him by the Don. According to Roger Stone he goal was to "die broke and owing millions to the IRS" and succeeded. I can atleast appreciate the contempt of the IRS although I suspect thats just sugarcoating it

In the United States, teachers can only deduct up to $250 a year of the money
they personally spend on school supplies, despite the average spend being more
than double that. Meanwhile, Trump deducted over $70,000 in hair styling costs.

Possibly. There's lots to sift through. Certainly there are super suspicious activities, like the Trump writing off 750K for a consulting fee and his daughter claiming 750k for a consultation. Several suspicious activities similar to that. At the very least, one of the core positions he ran on is demonstrably false and a blatant lie. As someone who claims to value the truth as much you do, I would think you would be outraged.
Also, while not illegal and I haven't researched the veracity of this tweet, there's this:

I don't imagine anyone here has the wherewithal or financial ability to take advantage of various loopholes, write offs (or just straight up tax fraud) and risk a lengthy, expensive audit that could result in jail time or at the very least a large fine. Such is the life of the 99%.
I can tell you I have paid my fair share and will always continue to pay my fair share regardless of my financial situation going forward. That's simply how I was raised. Clearly DJT has not. He has no issues paying 100+K in taxes to foreign governments though.

we should be learning in a day or two just who it is Trump owes $4.12 M

Maria Bartiromo reported it was “unlikely” for a report
from John Durham on a probe into the origins of the 2016
investigation of the Trump campaign before the November 3 elections.

i am sole proprietor of a business
i could write off the costs of maintaining 12 mansions, a fleet of sports cars, and massages and hairdressing services as business expenses
it would not be legal to write off expenses having nothing to do with my business, but there is a high probability I could get away with it
if i go to the florist today and buy flowers for my wife, i could use the business credit card and write it off as an office decorating expense
our tax system relies to a very high degree on voluntary compliance
rule of law generally relies on voluntary compliance
i guess i'm a sucker for not doing it
but if the ethos that leads to high levels of voluntary compliance with our tax laws and other laws continues to get eroded we are gonna be in a heap of trouble
