Out of control far right politics and a terrible wealth distribution situation and the lower classes getting even lower leads to the equal and opposite reaction. Millions feel helpless and generally ****ed around by the wealthy. They can't "level the playing field" for themselves so they look for those who can.

Thanks Fitty! Yeah, pragmatism is the kiss of death during the primary season.

"Equal and opposite direction" is one of the Newtonian Laws of Motion, not either of the relativity theories. Heh, I was over here trying to place AOC into a framework of non-absolute space and time or non-relative light-speed and failing miserably.

I think most people recognize that serving in the military takes discipline and work ethic, and considering she came out of it with a thoughtful view on foreign policy makes me respect her views

Ah, sorry. Usually there's a white space above the typing to clue me in that I'm not seeing something, but it wasn't there that time.

    Who led?

    380 DAYS TO GO:
2008 Dem: Clinton led by 25.8 points.
2008 GOP: Giuliani led by 8.9 points.
2012 GOP: Cain led by 0.5 points.
2016 Dem: Clinton led by 22.8 points.
2016 GOP: Trump led by 5.8 points.

I question that 2016 (R) number but this does give context

Serving in the military takes the ability to sign a piece of paper and meet fitness goals.

    2012 was fun.

So many different people lead the polls on the GOP side. It was a new poll leader like every other week.

Well, I guess we disagree. If someone is willing to put their life at risk in service of the country, I can at least appreciate that, even if I disagree with the cause

My word. And how often do you willfully risk your life?

The high point was when Michelle Bachman came into a debate as the leader in the polls, took an early position against HPV vax, and the rest of the debate the other 300 candidates all got to stand up there and say "unlike my opponent from Minnesota, I am against cancer."

    Yep.

I remember Pawlenty was one of the early leaders in the polls when the first debates started. He tanked FAST. He was the one that coined the Obamneycare thing first. Rick Perry was a leader at some point in the race. There was a push for Huntsman to be a favorite. Gingrich lead, Cain had a lead. Who else am I missing lol

I made national headlines and had my name in national news because of Newt Gingrich.

First, Perry was the leader when he couldn't remember his own proposal to eliminate several federal departments, and he dropped after that.

Second, I need to hear this Gingrich story.
