Tables have turned. MLB contracts used to be the gold standard in American sports not even like 15 years ago.
Interesting though because rookies don't get the big signing bonuses anymore after the new CBA changed that. I remember when Vince Young got like 50 million guaranteed. Now rookie bonuses are nowhere near that. So yes, Murray can probably make more money in the short-term playing football,but if he was actually an elite MLB player he could make more money and not risk his health like playing football.
NBA contracts are now the gold standard though, especially in AAV.
