So who here wishes we just kept D. Pete and dumped Duvall and saved a few million. I mean if we are playing the lets see what we have card all year and not spending on proven talent. Why drop a few mill on trash.

Honestly, this team can't afford the nearly $500k they'll owe Duvall if they cut him today. It made zero sense to tender him a contract. He's done.

I liked Peterson, but I don't view the Duvall acquisition as an either/or. I just didn't understand waiving Peterson, especially for a franchise that is short of bats. Maybe Peterson doesn't develop into anything, but I sure wish we would have seen more than 2 big league ABs before making the decision to waive him. Hope he does well in Detroit. He's surely in a situation where there will be little pressure.
